Dog Behavior Problems

 

Dog behavior problems include aggression.Whether it's the nuisance of a dog who piddles on the carpet, or the serious danger of a dog who is aggressive toward humans or other dogs, dog behavior problems are a major cause of people giving up their dogs.

I have been very happy to discover that positive training methods can often work wonders. Not always -- there are some dogs with serious aggression for whom the best choice is probably euthanasia. But before going that route, a lot of things can be tried...

I've had my share of dog behavior problems, and while they have even driven me to tears a few times, I have also learned a lot by working to overcome them.

If you are dealing with some difficult canine behaviors, be sure to get enough help. It may be from the internet or from books, ebooks, or DVDs that you buy. It may be from a local trainer though do be sure to ask some specific questions before meeting with a trainer, as there are some trainers who will use very painful methods to try to subdue a dog.

Do know that you aren't alone as you try to solve the challenges in dog behavior problems.
