Positive dog training methods important to you? We'd love a link from your website!

Positive dog training methods are said to be used with some 20% of dog owners and trainers. I expect to see that figure rise a lot in the coming years.

One way that you can help is by linking to this site, if you have a website. If it's related to dog training, so much the better, but a link from any website will help.

Here's why: the search engines consider the number of incoming links, as well as a variety of other factors, in deciding what order sites on a given topic will be shown. So if you link to this site and use one of these phrases or a related one:

  • dog training

  • clicker dog training

  • positive dog training

... then that will gradually help the site's ratings.

How to put up your dog training link

Here is a sample of a text link.

Positive dog training is the topic at training-dogs.com.

You can simply copy and paste that sentence onto your web page.

If you would prefer the link to open in a new browser window, so the reader stays at your site as well, then the link is this one:

Positive dog training is the topic at training-dogs.com.

That doesn't look any different to you but the HTML code is different.

Now, here's what the code looks like for the first one...

<CODE><a href="http://www.training-dogs.com">Positive dog training</a> is the topic at training-dogs.com.</CODE>

and for the second one:

<CODE><a href="http://www.training-dogs.com" target="_blank">Positive dog training</a> is the topic at training-dogs.com.</CODE>

You can cut and paste the code, just delete <CODE> AND </CODE> before using it.

A couple of linking tips

Links to specific phrases, like I have done above, help the ranking of my site (or any site you are linking to) a lot more than a site where "click here" or a similarly general phrase is used.

If you are doing a link that is at the end of a sentence, be careful NOT to include the period at the end of the sentence in the link -- if that little period sneaks in, the link won't work.

If you want to change the text of one of the sample links above, it is easier to do it in the code, but if you don't do code, then just be careful to stay within the blue underlines as you delete some words and maybe add others.
